Hay bales burn in a field near State Highway 18 during the outbreak of wildfires in Lincoln County on March 14, 2025. An estimate of more than 10,000 acres burned in those fires, with well over a dozen hitting the area, according to Lincoln County Emergency Management. Construction is underway at Prague on the new high school. A circular drive in front of it has been completed, while work continues directly next to the current high school building. The new facility will be over 40,000 square feet and have 22 classrooms, including two computer labs, a Family and Consumer Science classroom and kitchen, a science lab, art studio space, two teacher workrooms and a dedicated special education space.
