Lady Lions make a run

Chandler’s girls basketball team hit its stride in the playoffs, losing in district but peeling off five straight wins, defeating No. 18 Chisholm and avenging four previous losses to No. 11 Prague. The Lady Lions got to play on Saturday for a trip to the state tournament, but were felled by No.

Four teams make area

The Prague boys and the girls teams from Chandler, Prague and Stroud rolled into the area basketball tournaments, which begin Thursday. Prague and Chandler both go to the area at Western Heights and could wind up meeting for the fifth team this season if both win in the first round.

State wrestling

Meeker takes two from Chandler

Prague rolls to regionals

Prague’s boys and girls and the Stroud Lady Tigers won their districts last week and will open regional play this week in the winners’ brackets of their tournment.

Hobill, Massie make state

Wrestlers Kyle Hobill of Davenport and Chase Massie of Chandler qualified for the Class 3A state wrestling tournament by finishing third in their regionals last weekend.
