Dale baseball heads to state

The Dale High School baseball team once again is headed into the state tournament after capturing a regional championship last weekend on its home field. The Pirates will play their opener today against Morrison at 4 p.m. on Palmer Field at Dolese Park in Oklahoma City.

Carney teacher resigns, petition filed

A Carney school teacher and softball coach, who was put on administrative leave, has resigned and a petition for a protective order has been filed against him.

NRC girls qualify for state golf tournament

One area high school girls golf team is headed to the state tournament today and Friday and two other girls from another school were competing as individuals in the state tourney Wednesday and today. One boy has qualified to play in the state tournament next week.

North Rock Creek point guard Noah McMullan signed his letter of intent last week to play basketball at Oklahoma City University. McMullan started four years as the Cougars’ point guard. He is flanked by parents, Tim and Stacy McMullan.
