A Stroud man facing two felony counts dealing with child pornography has waived his jury trial.
John Mack Byrd., Jr., 43, was formally charged July 29, 2022 in Lincoln County District Court with possession of child pornography and using access to computers to violate Oklahoma State statutes.
Had a chance last week to finally go quail hunting. It was the first time in several years.
Until about 20162017, I didn’t miss hunting quail at least some time during the season. We had to put our little pointer Sassy to sleep in January of 2016 and we haven’t had a bird dog since.

The Meeker Ag Booster Club is hosting their Annual Cake and Trophy Auction on Monday, February 12th, 2024 at 6:30PM in the Meeker High School Cafeteria. There will be decorated cakes, themed baskets, local trophy sponsorships, and ag mechanics projects available in the auction.
A Wellston man facing five felony charges after reportedly shooting at his parents and leading law enforcement officers on a high speed pursuit before being caught and arrested has pleaded not guilty.
Wellston recently announced the high school and middle school students who made the Superintendent’s and Principal’s Honor Rolls for the fall semester.
