Kidnapping, rape charges

A $50,000 bench warrant has been issued for a man charged with kidnapping and three counts of first degree rape of a Lincoln County woman. The charges were formally filed May 5 in Lincoln County District Court against Antonio E. Arroyo, 56, of Tulsa. The bench warrant was issued the same day.

Black Hawk in place

The Sac and Fox Nation mounted a Black Hawk helicopter pedestals for permanent display along state Highway 99.The aircraft was donated to the Sac and Fox Nation by the Chicago Black Hawks Hockey Team and is being put up in honor of the Sac and Fox National Honor Guard.

I thank God for all men who have worked righteousness in God. For it is not of man but God in us. Let us not boast in ourselves for we could be brought low because of this. Praise God for all things. After all this is the kingdom of God and His people in it.

Money trail

The four days before Tuesday’s election, we got 20 political mailers at our house. All were 6 inches by 11 inches and printed on card stock. We tossed probably another 50, maybe upwards of 75, before I started keeping them to count. I’ll bet you got a bunch, too.

It’s been a long time coming, but felony charges have been filed in what is being alleged as the largest reported abuse of taxpayer funds in state history.

Happy 44th anniversary

Tomorrow, Pat and I will celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were married on July 1, 1978 at St. Gregory’s Chapel. I’m not sure what we are going to do Friday. Probably work at least some if not most of it.

Dale fills teaching positions

Dale’s Board of Education this week filled several teaching positions for the 2022-2023 school year and also hired two paraprofessionals for 2022-2023. The board hired Amber Clark as a Special Education instructor.

New turf for Prague

When the Prague Red Devils play their first home game of the 2022 football season, they will be playing the contest on a new artificial surface. Prague School Supt. Kevin Engle 2 explained this week, “The artificial turf will be put down in July and should be ready sometime in August.
