Bella Allen and Chace Massie earned spots in the state wrestling tournament and will have their first matches Friday evening. Allen, a junior will wrestle freshman Ma’ryia Hankins from Douglass in the first round at the Fairgrounds. Allen is 10-4 on the season and Hankins is 13-2.

Powerlifters win at Bethel - record for Peery

The Chandler boys powerlifting team won the Bethel meet last Thursday and Kalee Peery set an unofficial state record in the squat. Peery squatted 270 pounds, which is five pounds more than the state record of 265 lbs for her weight class.

She was 92.
