Davenport manhandles Yale

The Davenport Bulldogs put together nearly 300 yards of offense and shut out Yale last Friday night 48-0 in the first round of the Class B playoffs. With the win, the Bulldogs advance to the second round and will host Keota Friday evening at Bulldog Stadium.

Prague falls to OCA

The Prague Red Devils saw their season come to an end last Friday night when they were defeated 34-8 by the Oklahoma Christian Saints in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs. Prague Coach Mike Hedge said his team’s overall record was 7-4. “I am happy with our effort last Friday night,” he said.

McLoud closes season with a W

Even though the McLoud Redskins weren’t in the playoffs last Friday night, they did finish their season with two successive wins over district opponents.

Joleta “JoJo” Ann Mashburn

Joleta (JoJo) Ann Mashburn, age 65, departed this life on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Joleta was born September 28, 1956 to Jacquita Ann (Petty) and James Francis Avey in Santa Ana, Calif. Joleta’s family moved from Santa Ana to Oklahoma in 1970.

Jerry Dean Mullendore

Jerry Dean Mullendore was born February 21, 1958, and died Monday, November 15, 2021, at his home in Wellston. He was 63 years old. Mullendore, a 1976 Wellston High School graduate, was a truck driver.

R.D. Reynolds

R.D. Reynolds of Meeker was born August 24, 1937, in Foster, Okla. He died Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the age of 84 years. Reynolds, the son of Oscar and Ollie (Cole) Reynolds, married Basima Reynolds on January 24, 1956. He was a 1956 graduate of Duncan High School in Duncan, Okla.

Jeffrey Lindsey Huff

A memorial service will be held for Jeffrey Lindsey Huff at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the chapel of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston with a last ride to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home. Huff was born September 25, 1966.

Charles Edmond Mangion

Charles “Chuck” E. Mangion, 66, passed away on November 9, 2021. Chuck was born June 17, 1955 in Wyandotte, Mich., to Carmelo and Veda May Pansy (Atchinson) Mangion. Chuck from a young age until he graduated, attended Greenbriar Military Academy in West Virginia.

Rena Michelle Nelson-McWilliams

A funeral will be held for Rena Michelle Nelson-McWilliams at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2021, in the chapel of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston, which handled the final arrangements. Nelson-McWilliams was born to Frances Maudlin and Romas Aleksonis on May 7, 1969, in Omaha, Neb.
