Jimmie Rae Brownfield, 14, set her third national record this month at the 24th USPF Crain Powerlifting Championships in Shawnee. A 109-pounder competing in the 114-pound class, she bench-pressed 85 pounds, a new record to go along with two previous American records she set in the deadlift.

A Dale High School junior, who is no stranger to winning, has captured a couple more major awards showing her cattle. Morley Griffith, 17-year-old daughter of Matt and Twana Griffith, recently showed the Grand Champion Red Angus at the Tulsa State Fair.

Lincoln County deputies arrested a man who allegedly held a shareholder of a marijuana grow operation at gun point and robbed him of a thousand dollars. The man now faces two felony charges.

Bruce Edward Pfeiff, of Prague, Okla., passed away November 15, 2021. He was born February 14, 1945 in Burlington, Iowa, to Dale Henry and Cordelia J. (Ibbotson) Pfeiff. He grew up on the family farm near Burlington. After graduating from high school at Mediapolis, Iowa, he obtained a B.S.

Lions roll, 41-13

Chandler’s Lions sputtered in the first half against Perry Friday night, but found their rhythm in the fourth quarter and turned a tight game into a runaway. They led only 14-13 at halftime and 21-13 after three periods, but rang up three touchdowns in the final period to win, 41-13.

Stroud 18, Warner 0

Stroud set a dominating tone early against Warner Friday night, driving 71 yards in 14 plays for a touchdown on the opening possession. That gave the Tigers a 7-0 lead they never relinquished en route to an 18-0 win in the first round of the playoffs.
