Commissioners special meeting

Lincoln County commissioners, during a brief special meeting this week, adopted resolutions regarding vehicle insurance claims in the Sheriff’s Office.They also voted to authorize application for the JAG grant for the Sheriff’ Office.They approved a couple of other claims.

Fall is such a great time of year. It’s one of my favorites for several reasons.It’s starting to get a little cooler and the leaves usually begin falling at this time of the year.Depending on how cool it gets and how quickly that is will determine somewhat how much the trees shed their leaves.

Ora Frankia “Frankie” (Shaw) Story, longtime resident of Meeker, Oklahoma, departed this life on September 27, 2025, at the age of 92. Frankia was born on March 28, 1933, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Robert Shaw and Loata (Batte) Shaw.
