October Rotarians announced

Lexi Martzall and Mattie White have been named Rotarians of the month for October by the Rotary Club.Lexi Martzall is the daughter of Edie and Chaiyo Martzall. She has lived in Chandler all her life and has grown up within Chandler Public Schools.

Sequoyah Day at Wellston

Stroud bops Kellyville, goes to 3-1

After three heavyweight bouts to start the season, Stroud’s Tigers made short work of Kellyville last week, whipping the Ponies 54-0 and extending their four-year district unbeaten streak to 22 games.The Tigers are back home at Jack Poskey Stadium Friday to host Meeker for Homecoming.

Prison time for Stroud convict

A Stroud man who already was convicted earlier this year of two felonies in Lincoln County recently was charged with one, has pleaded guilty and been sentenced.Ronald Dean Mixon, about 62, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court with aggravated assault and battery.
