The Stroud American Legion Auxiliary met Monday, Nov. 9.

Members attending were Julie Bivin, Linda Waller, Pam Hunt, Aleta Smalley, Delores Hamlin, Diana Reed, Cindy Mason, Sandy Jones, Jo Braden, Cathy Terry and Marsha Morgan. No formal meeting was held but members filled jars with trail mix to take to Legion members on Veteran’s Day. They used jars donated by local and area individuals. Julie Bivin spearheaded efforts to etch an American flag on each jar. A note of thanks was tied around the jar lids. The jars were delivered to the veterans’ homes on Veteran’s Day. Beta Sigma Phi members joined the Auxiliary to help fill the jars as a service project for the sorority. The group also helped Brandon Kanady of Soonersigns get the “thank you veterans” signs ready for distribution the next day. The December meeting for the Auxiliary will be held 6 p.m. Dec. 7. at the American Legion Building.
