On schedule: Sac & Fox Transportation Center

Ground was broken on June 27, construction started July 8 and the Sac and Fox Nation is a step closer to a finished project.

Construction of the 12,000 square foot Sac and Fox transportation facility is on schedule and under budget.

“We feel we’ll meet our deadline,” Construction Inspector Cecil Bernard said.

Bernard said electric and plumbing have been roughed in, all the aluminum frames have been installed, 95 percent of the steel studs have been installed, 90 percent of the ductwork is completed, insulation for the roof system has been put into place, and all the concrete has been finished.

Even with special orders, Bernard said everything has come in a timely manner allowing everything to meet on schedule.

According to the Project Manager, Randle Carter, the budget for this project is $3.65 million.

Bernard said the roof will be formed onsite within the next week.

Carter said they will put the bid out for the paving schedule in either late January or early February.
