Stroud City Council approved the City of Stroud Pandemic Virus Preparedness Plan Thursday, Sept. 10.

City Manager Bob Pearman said this plan applies to city workers and answers all the “what if” questions that would arise if a Stroud city worker tests positive for COVID-19.

“It’s a plan we wanted to have in effect,” he said.

Pearman said they wanted to be prepared in case anyone did test positive.

This plan answers questions regarding shift times, how certain departments would run and additional precautions that would be put into place like wearing masks and regular temperature checks.

Pearman said no Stroud city worker has tested positive for COVID-19 and only one had to be quarantined due to an exposure to COVID-19.

Other actions made by board members include:

Approval of the City of Stroud Engine Idle Policy.

Removal of an agenda item regarding Chris Wilson d/b/a Stableridge Winery to sell alcohol for the boat races at the Stroud Municipal Lake on September 12 – 13, 2020.

Approval on setting Fall Clean-up the week of October 5 – 9, 2020.
