Ronnie Clare Underwood

Ronnie Clare Underwood, of Stroud, Okla., passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the age of 78. Ronnie was born June 25, 1943 in Anthony, Kan. He was the son of Norman Elmore Underwood Jr. and Annabell (Hartman) Underwood. Ronnie grew up in the Anthony and Waldron area. He was a graduate of Anthony High School. Following high school, Ronnie worked as an electrician for several years before joining the oil field. He loved working in the oil field and dedicated many years of his life to it.

Ronnie married Kimberly Annette Holleman on October 16, 1987 in Arizona. The couple later moved to Stroud, where they have made their home since. Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing and adoring his grandchildren. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, his

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Tara Michelle Underwood, Wife Eleanor D “Cheva” (Tanner) Underwood and his brother, Than “Woody” Elmore Underwood.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kimberly Underwood; five children, Teena Widner and her husband, Ron, Thomas A. Underwood and his wife, Krys, Amanda Holleman, Candice Henry and her husband, Nathan and John Underwood and his wife, Amber; seven grandchildren, Heather, December, Emily, Ethan, Kahsara, Thomas and Annabell; eight greatgrandchildren and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at First Assembly of God in Prague, Okla. Burial will follow at Waldron Cemetery in Waldron, Kan.
