Sandra Jones, member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Stroud was honored at a recent event where she was presented with the organization’s International Award of Distinction.
The Award of Distinction is the highest award in Beta Sigma Phi.
Jones, a member since 1966, joined her first chapter in Farmington, NM, and after she moved to Oklahoma, she organizedtheStroudchapterin1979withtennewmembers She was nominated for the honor by her chapter with Chris Hodge, President, and Pam Hunt making the announcement, noting she has contributed extraordinary service and leadership to Beta Sigma Phi serving in every capacity, and also to her Stroud community where she was a two-time Chamber of CommercePresidentandLifetimeAchievementrecipient.
She is the chapter’s current Woman of the Year. She was presented with a medal and certificate by the Beta Sigma Phi Executive Council, Kansas City, MO.
