A bench warrant issued for a Sparks man who failed to appear in court on a felony and a misdemeanor following his arrest has been returned and filed.
Billy Ray Moore., 44, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court with possessing firearms after conviction or during probation, a felony.
He appeared before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk and she set bond at $6,000. He made his initial appearance July 1. A pre-preliminary hearing had been scheduled for. Sep. 26.
When he failed to make his court appearance before Special Judge Emily Mueller, she issued $25,000 bench warrant for his arrest.
On Oct. 15, he appeared before Judge Kirk and on Oct. 17 he appeared before Special Judge Emily Mueller. Judge Mueller has scheduled his preliminary hearing for 9 a.m. on Nov. 22.
