Voters in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties had several municipal contests, school board races and bond issues to decide.
In Pottawatomie County, voters overwhelmingly decided to make a county education sales tax permanent All voters in Pottawatomie County helped decide whether to make the .00495 cent county sales tax for 14 public school districts permanent.
The vote was 2,243 in favor with 905 voting against it.
In Lincoln County, voters decided the following school board contests.
In the race for Stroud, Office No. 5, Eric M. Bradley had 269 votes to 194 for Aaron Grill.
McLoud Public Schools, Office No. 5, Dustin Conley won with 255 votes to 238 for John Stotts.
Wellston Public Schools, Office No. 5, Christa Coover nipped Jimmy Weathers 180 to 179. Wellston school district voters also easily passed two school bond propositions that were on the ballot, one was for $605,000 and the other was for $145,000.
The $605,000 issue was for constructing, equipping, repair and remodeling school buildings and won with 245 votes in favor to 108 against.
The $145,000 issue was for transportation and won 247 to 105.
In the race for Gordon Cooper Technology Center, Office No. 5, (unexpired term) Casey Wayne Bell 1,978, Dennis Morris, 1,892.
Municipal races in Lincoln County included: The City of Stroud had three contests for seats on that Council.
Ward 3 council member, Caleb Ball had 252, Kyle Anderson 100.
Ward 4 council member, Gary P. Babinec won with 256 over Terry Millus, 80.
Council member at large, Jeff Stiner defeated Marvin Johnson 228 to 109.
In the race for Town Clerk Town at Warwick, Heather Franklin won with 12 votes to 2 for Joseph Aaron Schmitt.
Voters chose two Tryon Board of Trustees among the four who were seeking the seats. Nathan Jones won one of the seats with 39 votes, and Jenna Knipp claimed the other with 38 votes. Rocky Cooper had 21 and Mary Lee Meisner 23, Voters chose three Town of Wellston Board of Trustees from the eight who running. The top three vote getters who won seats were Levi Bouska with 83, Lynlee Bouska with 54 and Brandon Hunt with 50. Tyler Christy had 47, Patricia Parker, 44, Stacey L. Russell had 43, Dorothy Swanda, 27 and Erik Boyd, 4.

There was one Municipal contest in the City of McLoud for Council Member Ward No. 4. Roger White garnered 214 votes to 82 for Thomas Morris.
