A man from Newalla and a woman from Wellston face a total of eight felonies between them against a child.
Galahad Gideon Carroll, 37, Newlla was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on May 12, 2025 with one count of first degree rape and six counts of lewd acts with a child.
Ruth Ann Leathers, 42, of Wellston, faces one count of enabling child sexual abuse.
Court records shows that a $200,000 bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Carroll on the day charges were filed. The warrant was returned and filed on May 16 and he made his initial appearance on May 22.
His $200,000 bond remains in effect and a stipulation of the bond is he is to have no contact with any person under 18 years old.
His pre-preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on June 23.
A $100,000 bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Leathers the day she was charged. Her warrant was returned and filed on May 16 and she made her initial appearance on May 22. She is to have no contact at all with the victim.

The first count against Carroll accuses him of between Jan. 1, 2024 and Feb. 25, 2025 of committing the crime of first degree rape of a minor who was between 11 and 12 years old at the time in Lincoln County.
Counts 2 though seven against Carroll also allege that between Jan. 1, 2024 and Feb. 25, 2025 committed the crime of indecent or lewd acts with a child who was between 11 and 12 years old at the time accusing him of various sex acts with that minor, all of those occurring in Lincoln County.
In the lone felony count against Leathers she is accused of between Jan. 1, 2024 and Feb. 25, 2025 of committing the crime of enabling child sexual abuse as a person who was responsible for the health, safety or welfare of a child, allowing and knowing that Carroll was sexually abusing that minor.
In a probable cause affidavit prepared in the case, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Kelly Coleman states he was contacted about 3:15 p.m. on Feb.
