Louie Everett Reedy was born October 21, 1935, in Tryon.
He died Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at his home in Agra. He was 84 years old.
Reedy, the son of Melvin E. and Gusta Ann (Hale) Reedy, married Nancy Jo DeJarnette on July 25, 1957, in Chandler.
A 1955 graduate of Agra High School, he served in the United States National Guard and the U.S. Army. He worked in the oil industry and was a union carpenter in Oklahoma City. He was a member of Agra Church of the First Born.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Melvin Reedy Jr.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Reedy of Agra; his daughter and son-inlaw, Lisa Ann and Chris Hubbard of Agra; and two sons and a daughter-inlaw, Shawn Eric Reedy of Oklahoma City and Scott Louis and Amanda (Roe) Reedy of Agra.
He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Hubert Carmichael of Enid, Okla.; his brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Wilda Reedy of Agra; his sister-in-law, Billie Jean Reedy of Chandler; and other family and friends. A private graveside service was held Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Osage Cemetery in Agra. Arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
