NOAH scored early and often Friday night, handing North Rock Creek its fifth loss of the season, 68-0.
The Jaguars, who are a group of homeschoolers in the Tulsa area affiliated with EPIC Charter Schools, scored their first two touchdowns on a punt return and a scoop-andscore fumble recovery and got their third following an interception inside the Cougars’ 30-yard line.
“It was a rough one,” said North Rock Creek coach Jason Murray. “They’re the best team we’ve played. They’re good and we turned the ball over five times.
“Their quarterback and throw it around. We didn’t play very well.”
Murray said the Cougars continued improve, with learning being the most importantly ingredient. This is NRC’s first year of varsity experience and half the team’s 28 players are either freshmen or having a year or less of playing football.
“They’re doing a lot of learning,” he said. “The only way to get experience is by going and playing.
“Hopefully, we’ll get that experience and get more consistent, not have as many busts on offense and on defense.”
