Funeral services will be held for Helen Clariece Woody at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020 at Jesus First Baptist Church in Stroud. Burial will follow at Stroud Cemetery with care services provided by Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
Woody, 78, was born to Cleveland Woody Sr. and Artice Lyons Woody on Sept. 6, 1942, in Stroud. She died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, in Stroud.
A 1960 graduate of Stroud High School, she worked in cosmetology before becoming a licensed lab technician at Stroud Clinic where she retired. She was a member of Jesus First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson; her sisters, Connie Woody, Cora Story, Carrie Tubbs and Clorett Woody-Youngblood; her brothers, Cleveland Woody Jr., Curtis James Woody, Calvin Woody, Cecil Woody and Column Woody.
Survivors include her son Greg Argrow; three grandchildren; one greatgranddaughter; two sisters and brother-in-law, Carolyn Washington of Wichita, Kan., and Cleolla and Larry Howard of Oklahoma City; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Cledell Woody of Stroud, Pastor Claude T. and Loretta Woody of Spencer, Okla., and the Rev. Conway and Nina Woody of Wichita, Kan.; and other family and friends.
