The sunshine of Spring has put away the snow and ice of Winter. Now, with the increasing warmth, people are looking for activities and events where they can, again, be around other people in entertainment venues in Lincoln County.

With this goal in mind, Stroud Arts is ready to provide an interactive Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre Event and has partnered with the Stroud Chamber of Commerce, and in association with Stroud Masonic Lodge #142, for an evening of Dining and Entertainment.

This event will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, 7pm at the restored Cox and Johnson Building located at 324 North 4th Avenue in downtown Stroud. The evening will begin with guests being treated to a three-course dinner prepared by Celebrity Chef, Stroud Resident and Stroud Chamber of Commerce President Kyle Anderson. In keeping with the theme and historical period of the Mystery, the meal will be based on an authentic menu from the late 1920’s and served by members of the Stroud Junior Chamber of Commerce.

During the dinner, guests will have opportunities to interact with the Stroud Arts cast members and toward the end of the meal, the mystery, ‘The VanDersloan Conundrum’ will begin.

This mystery, ‘The VanDersloan Conundrum,’ revolves around the murder of Cheryl VanderSloan, heir to the vast Vandersloan Rail, Hotel and Mercantile fortune.

This production is an original creation and relies on direct audience interaction and participation as the Actors will take direction from the Audience as to which suspect they wish to incriminate in the ongoing investigation.

Admission for the Three Course Dinner and Murder Mystery event is $25 and can be pre-ordered by phoning Stroud Arts at 405-836-1266. Proceeds will support the Stroud Chamber of Commerce and Stroud Arts.
