1. Update on Glenn Crest Park
A. It is amazing how many out-of-town visitors are coming to the Park and letting their children play.
B. They say build it and they will come; well, that is being proven every day at this Park.
C. I’ve seen big SUV’s, gas guzzlers at the Park, so you know they are buying gas for the vehicles, and snacks for the kiddos at our stores.
D. More signs have gone up at the Park for Rules and Regulations.
E. All in all, this was a great project and a great asset for the Community to be enjoyed for many years.
2. Update on Homestead Park
A. I talked to Kimberlee Adams, our OG&E Rep. about new lighting for the Park. She has turned a report in to engineering and they will get with us for lighting suggestions for the Park and Security.
B. The laser printed bricks with CO.’s and individual names will be started up again and will be for sale. I am in the process of procuring a Co. to do that for us. These will be placed along side the others that are already in place around the flagpole.
C. Connie Walton and Debbie Williams are planting more flowers and shrubs at the Park.
D. Donations are being accepted at this time for playground equipment, mulch, tables and benches.

3. Employee Update
A. We are glad to announce the hiring of Chad Rowan. Chad comes to us from O.D.O.T. Chad was a supervisor at the Chandler O.D.O.T. Division. Chad is the new PWA Supervisor.
4. Update on Grants A. We received the $50,000 check from COEDD on the Reap Grant. This will pay for the asphalt jobs on N. and S. Koonce.
B. We applied for a 3-million-dollar grant with T-Mobile to be used wherever. There will be stiff competition on this grant as only one Rural Town will be chosen. We are in the chase.
C. Still waiting on engineering from Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC for our winter storm damage.
D. Other grants are still in the works but we haven’t heard anything back.
5. Update on Annual Fireman’s B.B.Q.
A. The annual Fireman’s B.B.Q. is back on and scheduled for May 6th, 7th and 8th. This years’ menu will be B.B.Q. ribs, pulled pork sandwich, hot dogs, hot links and possibly a baked potato with all the goodies on it.
B. Please support this event because it helps fund different needs that the Dept. has throughout the year.
C. Also, we Thank the Auxiliary for all they do all year round.
6. Update on City wide Cleanup
A. City Wide Cleanup will be a 2-day event scheduled for May 29th and 30th. The roll off dumpster will be at the H.S. gym parking lot just like last year. Please bring a Meeker Utility bill and I.D. to dump.
7. Update for Chamber of Commerce
A. Please support the Annual Golf Tournament held at the Chandler Golf course. Check with Josh at BancFirst for details.
B. The City-wide garage sale is Saturday, May 8th. Check with Laverne Babinchak at BancFirst for your map and locations.
