As we get into November and December, we will start celebrating several Holidays.
On November 11th, we will honor Veteran’s Day, originally know as Armistice Day. This day is a Federal Holiday in the United States observed annually for honoring Military Veterans, that is, persons who have served in the United States Armed Forces and were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.
Also, this day was originally set to honor the end of World War I. This solemn occasion is a time to reflect on these American Patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and defending the country they deeply loved.
You may, like we do on Memorial Day, lay flowers on graves of our local Veterans. You may also fly flags as we do here at City Hall. Also you may take time to visit or volunteer at a Veteran’s Facility and Thank them for their service.

Update on D.E.Q. limb removal
We filled out an application for Emergency Limb removal and it has been approved. You may take your Limbs only to sewer plant on Veterans Drive.
You may only take your limbs to the sewer plant on Veterans Drive Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM. Follow limb signs when you get to sewer plant to dump your limbs.
Please remember the sewer plant will not be open after regular working hours or on weekends.
Let’s take advantage of this special D.E.Q. time for disposal of limbs.
Let us stay positive and get this country back to where it needs to be. Please keep your social distancing of six feet, wash hands often, and keep sanitizing. Please continue to support our local businesses and spend your money locally.
