The Soil samples at Meeker Lake, Quapaw 15 Project, have been taken by the Terracon Group. Now the samples will be taken to their laboratory & tested for donor soil quality and compaction ratio. We are still waiting for the camera crew to run their camera up the 24” water pipe for inspection. This is the pipe that runs from the round concrete Water Control Tower sitting in at the Water Plant. We sure hope the pipe tests good.
The Fire Department, along with the Police Department, have been making several lift assists with people that have fallen. Both departments really work well together.

All the town guys have been working very hard preparing for our July 3rd Fireworks display at the lake.
Plan on coming early, as Meeker is one of the few towns having a Fireworks event, this year.
A shuttle bus and golf carts will be available to transport people from their vehicle to the lake, where food trucks, vendors and music will be.
A reminder that the Rodeo will be on Friday, June 26th and Saturday, June 27th. The parade will begin at 10:30 AM, Saturday morning.
More clean up work has been done at the cemetery, which includes grass cutting, brush hogging, trimming trees and placing more crushed granite at the turn corners, with more still to do.
We ordered bicycle path signs to be placed on the West side of Culver Street going South to the Elementary School. These signs, along with other things we have already completed, will allow us to apply for $12,000 more in grant money from T-Set, the Tobacco Settlement Group.
The Town received a $250.00 check for reimbursement for the COVID 19 period.
The Growth & Development was awarded $2,500 with a bank matching grant for a total of $5,000.
