Meeker sophomore Riley Randall ran an 11:10 at the Stroud Cross Country meet on Saturday, taking second place.
An All-Stater last year as a freshman, Randall finished among a pack of runners from Lincoln Christian, which had the first-, third- and fourthplace finishers.
“Riley raced very smart on Saturday,” said Meeker coach Brady Dukes. “I was very proud of how he stayed with the champion runner most of the race.”
Josiah Antis from Lincoln Christian came in first, clocking an 11:01
Randall’s Meeker teammate Braxton Bussell ran an 11:48 and Josh Wooden of Stroud clocked a 12:33 and finished 11th.

Meeker finished third, three points out of second, and Stroud was fifth.
“I thought this was a very good overall first meet to begin our season,” Dukes said of Meeker’s finish. “These young men have improved in over a year and are very hungry and competitive.
“The expectation are high with this group and we are going to challenge them more and more every day.”
