Davenport’s Bulldogs put a 55-0 hurting on Oaks and moves into the second round of the playoffs, where they’ll host Weleetka and have a chance to avenge an opening night loss to the Outlaws.
Weleetka won that game, which was at Weleetka, 32-28, but Davenport has been on a 9-1 roll since then and has pitched shutouts in five of its last six games.
This time, the Bulldogs will get to play at home, with a berth in the third round on the line.
Against Oaks, which came into the game at 2-8, there was very little drama and it evaporated with 61 seconds expired when Tyler Harrison ran 43 yards for a score.
Carson Funk ran for a two-point conversion to make it 8-0 and the Bulldogs never looked back.
Campbell Miller ran for a 24-yard touchdown, Harrison added a 22-yard-er and Miller came back with a 40-yarder, making the score 32-0 at the end of the first period.
For the night, Harrison had three carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns, Colton Vanfossen had one carry good for 77 yards and a touchdown and Miller had two runs for 64 yards and touchdowns.
Parker Miller had a 19-yard carry for a touchdown. Cole Yancey added two punt returns for 58 yards.
Defensively, Jaxson Walker had two tackles and two pass interceptions and Casey Harrelson had three tackles, a sack and a 15-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Houston Byford had three tackles, including a sack, while Wyatt Cross led the team with six tackles.
Jace Phillips, Joseph Acord and A.J. Jenkins had four each.
