The Chandler Lions ran onto the field for their home opener, then ran past the Mount Saint Mary Rockets for a 39-7 win in their home opener Friday night.
It was the Lions’ first win of the season and came in a convincing fashion.
In a game in which coach Jack Gray said they “went back to basics,” the Lions never trailed and were never seriously threatened.
The Lions are back in action Friday night, hosting Jones in the district opener at 7 p.m.
