Stroud extended its perfect record to 8-0 with a 58-14 thumping of Konawa on a night that was wet and cold.
A cold rain fell for much of the game, but it didn’t deter the Tigers, who jumped out to a 42-0 lead at the half.
Grant Elerick started the scoring with a 6-yard touchdown run with less than three minutes gone in the game.
After that, it was four straight touchdown runs by Gage Parrick, who has run for 16 on the season.
He ran across from a yard out late in the first half, then added another one-yarder with 32 seconds gone in the second period.
He added a 57-yarder and a 26-yarder in the second quarter.
Grant Elerick hit Drew Elerick for a 67-yard touchdown pass with seven seconds left before halftime, making the score 42-0.
Konawa came back to sandwich scores around a 35-yard touchdown run by Chasen Neuman and a 19-yarder by Bryce Hughey.
Stroud rolled up 317 rushing yards on a soggy field and finished with 425 yards of total offense.
Konawa had 226 yards, 210 coming on the ground.
The win left the Tigers with a 5-0 record in District A-7 and in control of the district race.
Should they win the district, they would host a first-round playoff game against the No. 4 team from District A-8.
At this writing, that appears most likely to be Warner or Porter Consolidated.
Porter is 2-3 in league play going into the regular-season finale this week against Sallisaw Central.
Warner is 1-3 but its two final games are against cellar residents Hulbert and Talihina.
The Tigers, meanwhile, finish the season with a road game at Allen next week and a home game with Mounds in Week 10.
The Mustangs are 1-4 in district play and 3-5 for the season.
Mounds is 2-3 in district and 5-3 overall.
