Stroud rolls to win over rival Chandler

Stroud goes 26-8 in 100th rivalry meeting

The Stroud High School Tigers’ varsity football team, projected to be one of the top teams in Oklahoma at the Class A level, came out of the gate strong in the 2019 season Thursday night with a dominant 26-8 victory over the rival Chandler High School Lions. This was the 100th annual meeting between the two Lincoln County high schools, the third longest high school football rivalry in the state of Oklahoma. On the first possession of the game, it was the Chandler Lions who looked ready to make a statement as they marched down the field.
