Murder case set for docket

A Wellston woman and a man from Iowa bound over to stand trial in the death of a Carney man on first degree murder charges along with three other felonies have been set for the felony disposition docket.

Turnpike to close Saturday and Sunday for work

Eastbound and westbound I-44/Turner Turnpike will be closed between SH-18 at Chandler and US377/SH-99 at Stroud from 7 p.m. Saturday through 7 a.m. Sunday for the removal of Old Stroud Road bridge beams as part of an ongoing construction project, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority officials have announced.

Meeker cake and trophy auction

The Meeker Ag Booster Club is hosting their Annual Cake and Trophy Auction on Monday, February 12th, 2024 at 6:30PM in the Meeker High School Cafeteria. There will be decorated cakes, themed baskets, local trophy sponsorships, and ag mechanics projects available in the auction.

Not guilty pleas in five felonies

A Wellston man facing five felony charges after reportedly shooting at his parents and leading law enforcement officers on a high speed pursuit before being caught and arrested has pleaded not guilty.
