The cheer teams from Chandler High School (above) and Stroud High School (below) perform during the OSSAA Cheer and Game Day Regionals competition on Sept. 20 at the Stroud Route 66 Coliseum. They were two of 10 teams competing in Class 3A. Neither school qualified for State.

A Stroud man facing two rape charges and two other felonies following his arrest by the Stroud police chief has been set for the January disposition docket and for trial in February.

Lincoln County On-Stage’s production of And Now Goodnight will open on Saturday, September 27, at 7:00 p.m. Additional performances will be held on October 4 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees on September 28 and October 5 at 2:00 p.m.

The Stroud Industrial Authority, City Manager Bob Pearman, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics Grayson Airdies, and others gathered at the groundbreaking for the runway expansion project at Stroud Municipal Airport on Sept. 17.

Beta Sigma Phi meets

Summer break is over and on August 26th Beta Sigma Phi sisters gathered to catch up, enjoy some delicious food, exchange secret sister gifts and go over the new year to come. Members were also blessed with the opportunity to welcome new sister, Nancy Stephenson, into the chapter.

Meeker FFA attends COLT conference

Meeker FFA Chapter Officers recently attended the Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference, held at the Embassy Suites in Norman, Oklahoma. This year’s conference carried the theme “Take Aim”, encouraging FFA leaders to focus on their goals in leadership.
