Trial date set in Fentanyl case

A jury trial date has been scheduled for a Stroud man facing a first degree murder charge related to the distribution of Fentanyl, a Controlled Dangerous Substance.Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court Dec. 6, 2023, against Dillon Young, 30.

Meeker board of education meeting

Meeker’s Board of Education this week approved continuing contracts for certified staff, support staff and for extra duty for the 2024-2025 school year.Board members also voted to employ Melissa Newport as a Middle School teacher and accepted the resignation of Tommy Williams, custodian/maintenance.
