Things started off the way Chandler wanted Friday night, with the Lions taking an early 7-0 lead and having two other scoring opportunities.After the first quarter, though, it went off script and Sequoyah-Tahlequah came back to claim a 24-14 district win.

Davenport went on the road for the second time in as many weeks and this time came home with a 32-28 victory over Depew.Davenport head coach Grant Powell had told his kids, he said, that the matchup was similar to that of a “Bedlam game.”Powell said this week, “It was a comeback win.

Stroud bops Kellyville, goes to 3-1

After three heavyweight bouts to start the season, Stroud’s Tigers made short work of Kellyville last week, whipping the Ponies 54-0 and extending their four-year district unbeaten streak to 22 games.The Tigers are back home at Jack Poskey Stadium Friday to host Meeker for Homecoming.

Jacob Beck took a punt return to the house early in the fourth quarter to give Stroud a lead and Aiden Collins intercepted a pass late in the quarter to protect it, leading the Tigers to an 18-13 win over Tonkawa Friday.
