Bulldogs lose 36-32 to Alex, face Depew next

Davenport’s Bulldogs jumped out to a two touchdown lead on Alex in a road contest last week, but couldn’t hang on and lost 36-32.The Bulldogs are 1-2 on the season and Coach Grant Powell said it doesn’t get any easier this week as they travel to Depew on Thursday night. He noted kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Carney- For the week: 3-0. Wins over Yale (12-6), Coyle (11-9), Agra (20-3 Now 11-9 for the season.Macy Hubach and Ashtyn Stokes banged out three hits each in the win over Yale. Stokes had two doubles and an RBI and Hubach had a run batted in.

Lone Grove scored early and often Friday night and sent the Chandler Lions home with a 42-13 loss.The Class 3A Longhorns scored their first touchdown three and a half minutes into the game and didn’t slow down.They led 28-7 at the half 35-7 midway through the third quarter.

Stroud outscored Class A power Pawnee 19-6 in the second half brought home a 42-34 win Friday night.The victory evens the Tigers’ record at 1-1 going into this week’s clash with Tonkawa at 7 p.m. Friday at Jack Poskey Stadium.“We played a pretty exciting game,” said head coach Josh Presley.
