Chandler rodeo this weekend

The 83rd annual Chandler open rodeo is coming up. Participants of each event will compete for prize money, awarded to winning contestant in their event, at the Round Up Club Arena Friday and Saturday. These events include: Bareback Riding, Ranch Bronc Riding, Tie Down Roping, Open Barrels, Jr.

North Rock Creek’s archery teams competed in the national competition in Louisville, ky. This was the fourth year for the team to ualify. The high school team, pictured at right, finished 91st out of 253 teams representing 33 states.

Wolff, Seminole win district

Stroud graduate Brice Wolff was the individual medalist and the Seminole State golf team won the South Central District Championship title recently at the Shawnee Country Club. Wolff, a freshman, had a three-round total of 13-overpar on the par-70 layout for the tournament.

Stroud High School recently presented its athletic awards for the school year. Those honored are: Football Awards No. 55 Stetson Bunyard Most Valuable Player A-6 Defensive Player of the Year No. 40 Kason Presley Offensive Player of the Year A-6 1st Team All-District Fullback No.
