A last minute change in the schedule last weekend due to the weather put two No. 1 teams in different classes squaring off against one another. The Dale Pirates, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, defeated Roff, ranked No. 1 in Class B, 34-27 in a contest played at Vanoss.

Football standouts Jacob Ostrowski from Chandler and Rylan Hal-Norton from McLoud signed letters of intent to play college football with Oklahoma Baptist University and Tabor College, respectively.

Chandler High School seniors Dalton Fowble and Delaney Haley have been named December Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club. Dalton Fowble, the son of Eric and Virginia Fowble, maintains a 3.95 grade point average while taking concurrent college classes in addition to regular coursework.
