Dietz second at state meet

Landon Dietz from Chandler, who is pictured at right in the silver position on the awards stand, came in second at the junior high state tournament. A fifth-grader, he wrestled at 72 pounds in the 6th-7th division.

Above left, Kendal Johnson helped lead the Wellston girls to a district championship Saturday night, then changed clothes and joined the cheer squad. At halftime of the boys game, sh entertained the crowd by doing flips from one end of the court to the other. Twice.

Dale wins battle of No. 1s

A last minute change in the schedule last weekend due to the weather put two No. 1 teams in different classes squaring off against one another. The Dale Pirates, ranked No. 1 in Class 2A, defeated Roff, ranked No. 1 in Class B, 34-27 in a contest played at Vanoss.

Ostrowski, Hall sign

Football standouts Jacob Ostrowski from Chandler and Rylan Hal-Norton from McLoud signed letters of intent to play college football with Oklahoma Baptist University and Tabor College, respectively.
