Chandler sidewalk project

The Community of Chandler is seeking a nearly $1 million grant from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to help fund a 1.1 mile sidewalk that will connect with an existing one completed earlier this year. Diann Herrmann helps head up the Safe and Healthy Lifestyles Committee in Chandler.

Floyd Douglas Satterfield, resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away October 27, 2022, at the SSM Health, St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years. Floyd was born in Davenport, Oklahoma on July 17, 1932, to Frances Julia Purscell and Brady Albert Satterfield.

David Christian “Cotton” Schwab, 68, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at his home in Davenport, Oklahoma. Cotton was born on Tuesday, August 3, 1954, in Augsburg, Germany, to Benjamin and Laura (Bergmann) Schwab.

Florence “Hobbs” Smith

Florence Lucille “Hobbs” Smith was born October 20 1966 in Oklahoma City, and departed this life November 1, 2022 at her home near Chandler Oklahoma, at the age of 56 years. Florence, better know as Lucy to family and friends, She was the daughter of Norris and Josie Ann Hobbs.

Bernice (Messer) DeWitt

Bernice (Messer) De-Witt died on November 5, 2022. She was born January 13, 1934 to Lew and Elizabeth Messer in Kendrick, OK. During her youth, Bernice attended and graduated Kendrick Public Schools. Bernice went on to community college and received a certificate in transcribing.
