McLoud, Chandler move audiences at Regionals

Three doors covered in photos stood center stage. The rest of the area was dark with only a spotlight on the center door. Each photo carried a story of a person who was loved. Who was missed.Who were killed because of who they were and who they loved.

Town Talk would like to thank everyone who donated to our “new scarecrow” campaign. We have used our scarecrows on Main Street for several years. They have been resewn, safety pinned, stapled and much more. We have certainly gotten our money’s worth out of them, but it is now time to replace them.

Commissioners approve 25/26 budget

Lincoln County commissioners have approved 2025-2026 budget numbers and sent them to the budget maker. Their action came last week during a lengthy special meeting.The budget numbers total $15,915,594.20.

The Wellston 4H and FFA Booster Club hosted their annual trophy and benefit auction Saturday, October 11th. There were nearly one hundred and fifty community members in attendance, raising over $25,000 to supportWellston 4H and FFA members.

About this time of year, I start reflecting back a little to see how well up I’ve kept up with my resolutions for this year. I was late and it took a little longer for me to jot down the resolutions for 2025.

The Lady Lions swept Jones in their fastpitch Super regional and will play Sequoyah-Tahlequah at noon Thursday in the state tournament. Manslaughter charge filed

A Meeker man faces a first degree manslaughter charge after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a fatal multiple traffic collision in Lincoln County in late August.Michael Lee Angel Figueroa, 31, was charged in Lincoln County District Court Oct.
