Prison time for Stroud convict

A Stroud man who already was convicted earlier this year of two felonies in Lincoln County recently was charged with one, has pleaded guilty and been sentenced.Ronald Dean Mixon, about 62, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court with aggravated assault and battery.

Commissioners special meeting

Lincoln County commissioners, during a brief special meeting this week, adopted resolutions regarding vehicle insurance claims in the Sheriff’s Office.They also voted to authorize application for the JAG grant for the Sheriff’ Office.They approved a couple of other claims.

Fall is such a great time of year. It’s one of my favorites for several reasons.It’s starting to get a little cooler and the leaves usually begin falling at this time of the year.Depending on how cool it gets and how quickly that is will determine somewhat how much the trees shed their leaves.
