Baade retires as superintendent

The Chandler School Board accepted the resignation of Superintendent Scott Baade at its regular meeting on Feb. 9.

Baade has been working in education for 39 years and has been the superintendent at Chandler since 2022. The board did have an executive session later in the meeting to discuss the employment of a new superintendent, but took no action.

The Board also approved the calendar for the 2026-27 school year and a Memorandum of Understanding with the Lincoln County Partnership for Child Well Being for the 2026-27 school year. The program helps to fund mental health assistance such as counselors, nurses and social workers. This will be the third year the school system has partnered with the Partnership.

The Board approved a bonus stipend of $5,000 less the required state and federal withholdings for a National Board-Certified staff -- Dana Key.

Additionally, the Board approved an agreement with Employee Evaluation Systems for the Oklahoma Teacher Leader Effectiveness teacher evaluation program for the next school year. Four students with Business Professionals of America (BPA) received approval to attend the National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn., on May 6 to 10, while 16 students received approval to attend the International Thespian Festival in Indiana in June.
