Midwestern Wrecking is making progress on the demolition of the St. Cloud buildings in downtown Chandler.
The removal of the two historic buildings is set to take place gradually over the next two or so weeks due to the complexity of the project, according to the City of Chandler. They will be taken down in parts and sections so as to protect the buildings on either side.
The demolition officially got the green light from the Lincoln County District Court in December. District Judge Joseph Dobry ruled that if a supersedeas bond of $300,000 wasn’t posted by Dec. 16 and there was no ruling by an appellate court, the City of Chandler was within its rights to begin demolition.
