Race develops for Chandler mayor

A race for the mayor of Chandler developed on the first day of the filing period for municipal offices and several have filed for positions in cities and towns in Lincoln County.

Kent McVey and Tony Wilson each filed in the race to be Chandler’s mayor.

Two other current Chandler City Council members also filed for re-election to their positions. Robin Crouch, Ward IV Council member and Virgil Wilson, Ward II councilman, filed to retain their seats.

On Tuesday, Cameron McBride also filed for the Ward II Chandler City Council position.

In Prague, Cliff Bryant, Jr., filed for the Council member at large seat and Scott R. Smith filed for Ward No. 4.

At Stroud, Phyllis Craig filed for the Ward No. 2 council member position and Debbie Jo Garrett filed for the No. 1. council position.

In the Town of Carney, Bo Gibbs Sr., and Jason Hubach have filed for the Board of Trustees.

In Meeker, Donna Weber, Mike Orman and Lanny Thompson all have filed for re-election to their seats on the Board of Trustees.

In Davenport, Autumn Wunderlich filed for the Town Clerk position.

In Tryon, five have filed for the Board of Trustees including Timothy Anderson, Cody E. Coleman, Rocky Cooper, Sandy Munier and Bradley E Smith. Smith filed for the unexpired term.

In Warwick, Brad Williams has filed for the Board of Trustees Office No. 3 position. Mary Franklin filed for the Warwick Town Treasurer position and Randall A. Franklin filed for the Office No.1 seat on the Board of Trustees.

In Wellston, Carrie Morley and Paul E. Whitnah have filed for the Board of Trustees.

In Pottawatomie County, two persons have filed for the Ward No. 1 position on the McLoud City County.

They include incumbent Ralph Snider who is also mayor and Phil Solinger.

The filing period opened Monday of this week and concluded on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Due to the newspaper’s deadline, these are all the filings as of 3 p.m. Tuesday in Lincoln County and in McLoud.
