Davenport

Troy Edwards Valedictorian

Troy Edwards is the son of Kristin Edwards and Chris Edwards. He has attended Davenport Public Schools for six years.

Edwards has a 4.0 GPA and was on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll for all four years of high school. He was the class president in his junior and senior years and received the presidential leadership scholarship at Seminole State College. He was the first student at Davenport to receive a drone pilot’s license.

Clubs and organizations that Edwards has been a part of are the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, baseball, basketball and four years of Aviation at Davenport.

His community involvement includes volunteering at the concession stand during games, volunteering as a server during the Davenport Alumni Banquet in 2023, and working as an usher for the graduating class of 2023.

Edwards works at Old Magnolia Garage.

After graduation, Edwards plans to pursue an associate degree at Seminole State College, then a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and eventually become a game warden.

Lillee Durbin Salutatorian

Lillee Durbin is the daughter of Lee and Jessica Durbin. She has attended Davenport Public Schools since pre-K.

Durbin has a 3.93 GPA and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society. She also won All-Star Conference for slowpitch softball in 2022 and Central 7 All-Conference for fastpitch softball in 2023.

Clubs and organizations that Durbin has been a part of are Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), pep club, cheer, softball and basketball.

Durbin’s community involvement includes volunteering with the Davenport Head Start program and decorating North Park for Christmas.

After graduation, Durbin plans to attend Seminole State College and major in child development.

Meeker

Troy Edwards Valedictorian

Darick Dale Carney is the son of Darin and Sara Carney. He has attended Meeker Public Schools since pre-k.

Carney has a 4.0 GPA and is an honor graduate. He has also lettered in academics and is a member of the Technical Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society.

Clubs and organizations that Carney has been a member of are SkillsUSA, the Nationwide Eclipse Ballooning Project, Vision Bank Leadership Council and Student Council.

Carney’s community involvement includes the Shawnee Park Restoration and collecting and delivering food care packages to the VA Hospital.

After graduation, Carney plans to attend college.

Annsley Babek Salutatorian

Annsley Babek is the daughter of Jeff and Jennifer Babek. She has attended Meeker Public Schools since pre-k.

Babek has a 3.89 GPA and has lettered in academics. She was also elected senior class president, made the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, and was Student Council treasurer, a member of the National Honor Society and Basketball Homecoming Queen.

Clubs and organizations that Babek has been a member of are the Student Council, yearbook staff, cheer, basketball, golf and the Vision Bank Board.

Babek’s community involvement includes volunteering with Wesleyan Youth Foster Care and Meeker Elementary School through the Student Council.

After graduation, Babek plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in pre-law.

NRC

David King Valedictorian David King is the son of Lucy King and Gene King. He has attended North Rock Creek Public Schools for four years.

King has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. He has also been named Mr. North Rock Creek, Shawnee News-Star Player of the Week, 2023 All Tri-County basketball team honorable mention and 2023 North Rock Creek Impact Player.

Clubs and organizations that King has been a part of are basketball, the academic team, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Gifted and Talented.

King’s community involvement includes volunteering with the Immanuel Baptist Church Student Ministry, North Rock Creek Children’s Basketball Camp, freshmen orientation, Trunk or Treat NRC and the Special Olympics.

King has worked at Cowboy Lawncare.

After graduation, King plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University to study theology.

Hailey Rice Salutatorian

Hailey Rice is the daughter of Stephen Rice and Melissa Rice. She has attended North Rock Creek Schools for four years.

Rice has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. She is also a member of the Oklahoma High School Honor Society and won Student of the Month, Academic Excellence Award for English, an academic letter, Track Athlete of the Year and Cross Country Outstanding Senior.

Clubs and organizations that Rice has been a part of are track and field, cross country and Spanish Club.

Rice’s community involvement includes the Immanuel Baptist Church Student Ministry.

Rice works at Finely Cleaners Dry Clean and Laundry Service.

After graduation, Rice plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in biology.

Stroud

Andrew Clovis Valedictorian

Andrew Clovis is the son of Katrina Clovis, Brynna Bunyard and David Clovis. He has attended Stroud Public Schools since second grade.

Clovis has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society, made Superintendent’s Honor Roll, is in Gifted and Talented, is the 2022 Class 2A Pole Vault Champion, a 64th University of Oklahoma PLC Class Member, 2020 Class 2A Cross Country State Qualifying Team Member, 2021 Pole Vault Regional Champion, 2021 Pole Vault Conference Champion, 2021 Class 2A Pole Vault State Runner-Up, 2022 Pole Vault Regional Champion, 2022 Pole Vault Conference Champion, 2022 Class 2A Pole Vault State Champion, 2023 Pole Vault Regional Champion, and 2023 Pole Vault Conference Champion.

Clubs and organizations that Clovis has been a part of are Junior Chamber of Commerce, Student Council, FCCLA, Academic Team, Track and Field, and Cross Country.

His community involvement includes Main Street Trick or Treat, Glow Run, Little Gifts, Big Hearts, End Hunger Project, Stroud Christmas Parade, Stroud Chamber Banquet, NHS Reading Buddies, Community Food Drive and Stroud Summerfest.

Clovis works as a lifeguard during the summer at Stroud Public Pool and part-time at 99 Nutrition in Stroud.

After graduation, Clovis plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and become a surgeon. He also plans to start a non-profit organization to house the homeless.

Makenna Hall Valedictorian

Makenna Hall is the daughter of Larry Hall and Lori Hall. She has attended Stroud Public Schools since pre-K.

Hall has a 4.0 GPA and is class president. She is also president of the National Honor Society, president of Junior Chamber of Commerce, and has won the 2020 Softball Newcomer of the Year, 2021 Softball Offensive Most Valuable Player, 2021 All World Softball Honorable Mention, 2022 2A-7 All District Defensive Player of the Year, 2022 Softball Team Most Valuable Player, 2022 All World Softball Honorable Mention, 2023 2A-5 All District Defensive Player of the Year, 2023 Softball All Region, Route 66 All Conference Softball for ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th grade, 2020/21 Basketball Newcomer of the Year, 2021/22 Basketball Heart and Hustle Award, 2022/23 Basketball Offensive Most Valuable Player and Route 66 All Conference Bastions for 10th, 11th and 12th grade.

Clubs and organizations that Hall has been part of are the National Honor Society, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, softball and basketball.

Hall’s community involvement includes Main Street Trick or Treat, the Christmas Parade, Wine Festival/Summerfest, Glow Run, Dude Be Nice, Food Pantry, Reading Buddies and Pink Out.

Hall works as a carhop at Sonic in Stroud and a City of Stroud lifeguard.

After graduation, Hall plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and major in either health science to pursue a career in physical therapy or forensic science and pursue a career in a related field Luke Smart Valedictorian

Luke Smart is the son of Jeremy Smart. He has attended Stroud Public Schools since pre-K.

Smart has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society.

He is also a two-time All-District Vocalist, first round All-State Choir Qualifier and has won the Service Award, Spirit of Tiger Country Award, superior ratings at district band competition, excellent ratings at state band competition, superior ratings at district choir competition, excellent ratings at state choir competition, superior ratings at district state solo and ensemble contest, and was the lead male role all four years of high school in drama.

Clubs and organizations that Smart has been a part of are Junior Chamber of Commerce, the National Honor Society, band, choir, drama and theater tech.

Smart’s community involvement includes helping set up and run tech for events at the PAC like funerals, kindergarten graduation, FCCLA and student council district meetings; being in Reading Buddies with a pre-k class; setting up for Christmas parades; helping run tech for church; and decorating and rigging lights in the lobby for events in the summer.

After graduation, Smart plans to attend Oklahoma State University for computer science and become a software engineer.

Katy Pittman Salutatorian Katy Pittman is the daughter of Brianna Dervin.

She has attended Stroud Public Schools since pre-K.

Pittman has a 3.98 GPA and is an officer in the Student Council. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society, and she is the captain of Stroud High School Varsity Pom.

Clubs and organizations that Pittman has been part of are Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, Oklahoma American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Delegate and Stroud Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Pittman’s community involvement includes Reading Buddies, the Stroud Wine Festival, the Stroud Christmas Parade, the Veterans Day Assembly and Stroud Trick or Treat Main Street.

Pittman works at Five Star BBQ & Steakhouse.

After graduation, Pittman plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma to become a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery.
