Lincoln County demonstrations

On Thursday, February 16th, Lincoln County 4-H’ers met in Agra to compete in the County Demonstration Contest. The 4-H Demonstration Contest is designed to allow 4-H members to practice and develop their public speaking skills. Members are judged on presentation, effectiveness and preparation. Clover buds have the opportunity to participate but are not ranked competitively.

Clover buds participating: Clayton Prough, Chandler, Addyson Prough, Chandler, Bellami Little, Meeker and Aurora Little of Meeker.

Beginners, Group 1: Foods, Home Improvement and Clothing. Presenter Jade Wakley, Chandler 4-H, received First Place and a Blue Ribbon Award, for her demonstration of “Starting a Garden”. Connor Imhoff, Prague 4-H, received a Red Ribbon Award for his Demonstration “Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies”.

Beginners Group 3: All Other Topics, Presenter Olivia Jones, Meeker 4-H received First Place and a Blue Ribbon Award for her demonstration “How to Make Horse Treats”. Wyatt Plummer, Agra 4-H was awarded a Blue Ribbon Award for his demonstration “Rabbit Showmanship”. Annabell McCarley, Chandler 4-H received a Blue Ribbon Award for demonstrating “How to Properly Care for an Udder”, and Conner Imhoff, Prague 4-H received a Blue Ribbon Award for his demonstration “Ear Notching Swine”.

Intermediates Group 1: Foods, Home Improvement and Clothing-Brianna Wakley, Chandler 4-H received First Place and a Blue Ribbon Award for her demonstration “How to Start a Garden through Propagation” and Ian Greenlee of Prague 4-H received a Blue Ribbon Award for “Brownies making demonstration.

Intermediates Group 2: Safety, Electric, Conservation, Petroleum Power and Woodworking. Presenter Kendal Williams, Agra 4-H received First Place and a Blue Ribbon Award with his demonstration “Tractor Safety”.

Intermediates Group 3: All Other Topics, Gracin Jones, Meeker 4-H, received First Place and a Blue Ribbon Award for his demonstration of “How to Treat Ringworm in Cattle”. Riley Williams, Agra 4-H received a Blue Ribbon Award for “Painting with Acrylics”.
