Leon Oliver West of Meeker was born August 29, 1932, in Shawnee, Okla. He died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the age of 87 years.
West, the son of Listen and Edith West, married Freeda (Wakole) West on February 8, 1956.
He served in the United States Army and worked at architectural millwork.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother Carl.
Survivors include his wife Freeda of the home; his children and their spouses, Terry and Charisse West of Wamego, Kan., Gayla and Craig McCoy of Parker, Colo., and David and Christine West of Sapulpa, Okla.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Services were held Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at First Assembly of God in Meeker. Arrangements were entrusted to Browns Family Funeral Home in Chandler.
