A memorial service will be held for Sondra Jane (Arthur) LeGrande at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022, at First Christian Church in Luther, Okla. Services are provided by Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
LeGrande, 78, was born April 7, 1943, in Oklahoma City and died Friday, February 11, 2022, in Edmond, Okla.
The daughter of William Ramsey Arthur Sr. and Mary Jane (Gray) Arthur, she married Richard Jay LeGrande Sr. on November 28, 1962, in Luther.
A 1961 graduate of Luther High School, she was a certified medical pathology lab technician before working with her husband at LeGrande Lumber and Hardware. She earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and retired as a Special Education teacher at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, a sister Karen Ann “Kay” Bois and a sister-in-law.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh Ann Jackson and Leland Jackson and Kevin Scott Stewart, Mary LeGrande and Jeff Michael Thionnet; her son Richard Jay LeGrande Jr. and his wife Shauna Rose; 10 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; her brother William Ramsey Arthur Jr.; and brother-in-law Gene Boise; and other relatives and friends.
