A total of seven charges have been filed against a Stroud man in two different cases, two of them felonies, within a few weeks of one another.

He made his initial appearance on July 2 before Special Judge Emily Mueller and she set a $10,000 bond for Roberts. She also ordered that he reappear in court at 1:30 p.m. July 22.
Roberts was also charged on June 8 with first degree burglary and four other misdemeanors.
They include three charges of threatening to perform acts of violence and one count of trespassing after being forbidden.
He made his initial appearance on those charges July 1 and she scheduled a preliminary hearing for 1:30 p.m. on July 22.
In the most recent felony charges filed against Roberts, he is accused of spitting on Jailer Karen Exendine while she was performing her duties as an employee of the Lincoln County Jail on June 21, 2021.
In the most recent misdemeanor filed, he is charged with threatening to cut off Exendine’s face and kill her, along with her family, on or before that same date.
The first degree burglary count accuses Roberts of breaking and entering into the house occupied by and in possession of Rhonda York located at 304 N. Allied Road in Stroud in Lincoln County. The charge states at that time inside the house were York, Sarah Kilgore and James Kilgore.
Roberts allegedly kicked in the front door of the house and entered without the consent of those in it with the intent to commit the crime of threatening acts of violence.
The three counts of threatening to perform an act of violence charge him with threatening to kill Rhonda York in one of them, threatening to kill Sarah Kilgore in another and threatening to kill James Kilgore in the third count.
All of this reportedly took place on May 31 this year.
In the fourth misdemeanor he is accused of trespassing on the property located at 304 N. Allied Road in Stroud without the consent of Rhonda York, the owner, on the same day.
State prosecutors filed supplemental information showing Roberts was previously convicted of several previous crimes in Lincoln County District Court on April 1, 2016.
