The Class of 1967 lost another classmate this past week. Bobby Bohannan was raised in the Cushing/ Stroud area and lived here most of his life. Longtime Stroud resident Sylvia Summers passed away on March 5th. She retired in 2002 from the Stroud school system where she was employed as a custodian. She was married to the love of her life, Delmar, for 63 years. Sylvia went to school in Stroud until her junior year then graduated from Kendrick. Judy Murfin, one of the two recipients of the Stroud Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement Award passed away this past week after a lengthy illness. She and her husband, Pastor Jerry Murfin, received the award at the March banquet. Judy was a 1961 graduate of Stroud High School. The Stroud community sends its condolences to each of these families.

Well, David and his secret helper worked hard to fix the leaky roof on the mini golf course club house. We experienced another rain and once again the roof leaked. It is so frustrating to have to keep reworking that roof, but I know David will figure out exactly what needs to be done. Town Talk is needing an electrician to volunteer his services to wire our small club house. We need wiring for lights and heat/air and need a licensed person to do this for us. If you would be willing to donate your services, please contact me at 918-527- 9833. Town Talk would greatly appreciate it.

Flowers are blooming, eggs are waiting to be dyed, and hams are needing to be smoked – all in time for Easter. I know some Stroud merchants who could help you out with these items. Stop by and see them. Have a great week and thank you for choosing to shop local………. first!
