Rotarians of the Month

Cali Hilgenfeld and Halli Murrary were selected as the Rotarians of the Month for February by the Chandler Rotary Club.

Cali Hilgenfeld is the daughter of Drew and Holly Hilgenfeld and a senior at Chandler High School. She has maintained a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) throughout her high school career and has earned the title of valedictorian. She has been a member of the varsity pom and track teams for four years and was also an American Legions Girls State delegate this past summer.

Hilgenfeld is actively involved in the Student Council, where she holds the office of reporter. She is the National Honor Society vice president and a member of the Oklahoma State Honor Society. Hilgenfeld is a member of the BancFirt Student Board, Positive Peers, Gifted and Talented, Peer Mentors, FCA and Fish Club. She is also the Senior Class Secretary.

While involved in Pom, Hilgenfeld has helped her team earn five state championship titles and two state runner-up titles. She received the OSDTDA Academic All-State award from 2021 to 2024. Her team also won the OSDTDA “BE BOLD” award in 2022 for their jazz performance.

Hilgenfeld has also been very successful in track. She has qualified for the state track meet each year of high school and has received nine state medals. In her freshman year, she was part of the state runner- up 4x400 relay team.

She has placed in the top five for class 3A 100m dash the past two seasons.

Hilgenfeld is an active member of the Chandler First Baptist Church and Catalyst Youth Group. Through the church, she has served on several mission trips and helped with VBS.

She has volunteered at the God and People’s Food Pantry, Chandler Recycles, the Lincoln County Partnership for Child Well Being and the Wise Guys and Girl Power Conference.

After graduation, Hilgenfeld plans to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville to earn a Bachelor’s in Biology and then apply for medical school to become a pediatrician.

Halli Murray is a senior at Chandler High School with a 4.0 GPA and is currently ranked first in the Class of 2025. She has been on the A Honor Roll for seven semesters. Murray has also won Academic Excellence awards since 2021 and received the Chandler Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Festival Queen Scholarship in 2023.

Murray is the president of the National Honor Society and a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society. She made OSDTDA Academic All-State, third place in Hip-Hop, and second place in Jazz in 2021 with the Chandler Varsity Pom Squad.

In 2022, 2023, and 2024, she and her team won first place in Jazz Class 3A-4A, as well as first in Hip-Hop in 2022 and 2023 at the OSDTDA state competition. She won an individual Academic All-State Award from OSDTDA from 2021 to 2024. In 2022, she and her team won the OSDTDA “BE BOLD” Award Team Scholarship for their jazz routine.

Murray has been involved in many activities. She is the Student Council treasurer and Senior Class treasurer. She was also class treasurer in both her sophomore and junior years.

She is a member of the BancFirst Student Board of Directors, Youth Advocacy for Health and Leadership, Gifted and Talented, Positive Peers, Postponing Sexual Involvement, Peer Mentors, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Murray has participated in community service activities such as Chandler Recycles, Christmas Kid, making Christmas and Valentine’s Day cards for the Chandler Nursing Home residents, Soup Da Doop, Wise Guy Girl Power, volunteering at powerlifting meets, performing at the annual Red Ribbon Assembly, and reading books at East Side Elementary.

Upon graduation, Murray plans to attend Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She will major in astrophysics and hopes to later pursue a PhD.
